Dear Friends of Windham’s Helping Hands,

Twenty-one years ago Windham’s Helping Hands was created when Ruth-Anne Calandra (Windham resident) walked into Golden Brook School and asked what she could purchase to help the kids who didn’t get to experience the excitement of receiving new back to school items to start their school year off with.  She recognized that having a few new outfits, shorts, and notebooks made her own children happy and confident as they started the new school year and wanted to make sure all of Windham’s students felt the same.  WHH has grown into more than Ruth-Ann could have ever imagined as this organization is available to help everyone in the community in so may different ways.

You have always been so kind and thoughtful over the years and we appreciate your consideration of helping once more as we begin the process of filling the needs of students for the next school year.
